Calendula Seeds

$8.00 NZD

Harvested in the Archeus gardens on 1 Feb, 2026. These calendula seeds are organically grown.

Through the early part of summer upto Christmas, I was out in the garden collecting fresh calendula flowerheads every two days. These were then dried and stored to make infused oils for NatFem products.

I left them to go to seed through January. On 1 February (full moon) I harvested the seeds by hand, did some trimming of the remaining plants here and there so the flowers can burst into life again.

Some seeds have been kept for the Archeus gardens, but the excess is available to purchase for a modest sum. There's approx 45grams of seeds in each packet (give or take a bit).

Please note this product can only be sent to New Zealand addresses.

Calendula Officinalis

Calendula officinalis is native to Mediterranean Europe. It loves to self-seed freely in sunny situations. If you remove dead flowers heads itwill encourage more to grow. Be aware that humid conditions can cause mildew.

The flower heads can be used fresh or dried. The petals are lovely to add to salads! When you pick the flowers you will notice they have a sticky sap - full of healing goodness. Calendula has a wide range of medicinal uses. Its properties include: wound healing, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibacterials, antifungal and antiviral properties.

Calendula flowers can be used to infuse oils, create tinctures, make flower essences, use for teas. Just lovely.

If you purchase some Archeus organically grown calendula seeds and they flourish in your garden, if you share your green-thumbed handiwork on social media tag @archeusnaturalliving.

Have fun!
