With decades of experience in herbalism, education, and nature-based wellbeing, I created Archeus back in 2013 to offer practical, trustworthy support for women navigating menopause and midlife.
The Archeus products reflected my long-standing commitment to compassionate care, creating remedies that support the body while acknowledging the wider contexts of life changes and transitions.
Archeus is best known for theNatFem Botanics range, which supports hormonal change, sensitive skin, and the physical discomforts that can accompany midlife.
In July 2026, after 13 years of handcrafting all my products in the Archeus apothecary, I decided to call time on producing the NatFem Botanics range so that I can focus on my end of life care work, writing, teaching and creative practice.
It has been a big decision and hasn’t been made lightly. My hope is that someone will take NatFem to its next level and enable it to be available to even more women. I've had significant interest in the NatFem business - mostly from offshore, which has shown me just how much appetite there is for genuinely good products and a business that can scale. Those conversations are ongoing, and I'll let you know as soon as there is more to share.
My hope is that these conversations will progress to a new NatFem chapter with new owners, but also my wish is to now be able to focus fully on my work in spiritual, holistic & compassionate end-of-life care, my writing and teaching, and my own art practice.
When I look back over the 13 years since launching Archeus, I can hardly believe how much I have done during those years and how many products I have developed and made available. Creating the NatFem vaginal moisturisers in 2016 was a game changer and took NatFem truly global. These natural, hormone-free products have gone on to help women across New Zealand, Australia, the USA, UK, France, Ireland, Canada and Singapore, and have become trusted by health professionals including gynaecologists, endocrinologists, pelvic health physiotherapists, GPs and women's health advocates. In 2022, Super-Soothing Balm was shortlisted for Best New Intimate Care Product in the UK. It's been a privilege to help so many women.

NatFem Original Balm
In 2016, I developed NatFem Original Balm as a pH neutral hormone-free vaginal moisturiser. Made primarily for everyday comfort, Original Balm can also be used for intimacy (but do not use with condoms), as well as being able to be used anywhere else on the body and face.

It's made from organic and natural plant oils that are slowly infused with soothing and healing botanical extracts. All ingredients have been carefully selected to help moisturise, soothe, protect and calm the vulvovaginal area. Can be used instead of hormonal creams, or as a complement to them.
NatFem Original Oil
NatFem Oil is a vegan moisturiser made from organic, natural plant oils blended with healing botanical extracts. It's the base oil created for Original and Super-Soothing balms and can be used anywhere on the body, including the genital area.

NatFem Super-Soothing Balm
Super-Soothing Balm vegan vaginal moisturiser was shortlisted in the UK in 2022 for Best New Intimate Care & Sexual Product.

Super-Soothing balm is made from a blend of beautiful plant butters and waxes including shea, aloe butter and rice bran. These feel silky smooth on the body, they make the balm easy to apply and give it a lovely skin feel.
The key part of the effectiveness of this balm comes from the organic and natural plant oils that have been slowly infused with soothing and healing botanical extracts (this same maceration is used in Original Balm and Oil products as well). All ingredients have been carefully selected to help moisturise, soothe, protect and calm the vulvovaginal area. The active botanical ingredients have a variety of benefits including wound healing, anti-itch, antimicrobial, and antifungal.
Can be used instead of hormonal creams, or as a complement to them.
Super-Soothing balm does not contain beeswax.

Small is beautiful
While I wanted to help as many people as I could with my handcrafted herbal products, this did not mean I was reaching for unlimited growth. I believe that by intentionallynot seeking widespread commercial distribution, I was better able to maintain standards, integrity and connection with my customers and suppliers.
Science & Tradition
I developed each product formula in response to the needs and experiences of my customers, friends and loved ones, and my own personal experience. I extensively researched each ingredient and issue I sought to address. I worked with cosmetic chemists for all market testing and approvals. While small and simple, my manufacturing adhered to GMP guidelines.
Organic Gardening
Archeus products are made from the finest natural ingredients I can source. Most of the ingredients are certified organic. Many ingredients were grown organically in the Archeus gardens. All waste plant material used in the apothecary is returned to the earth as compost.
Treading Lightly
I try to keep mypackaging as eco-friendly as possible and impacts on nature are considered in every business decision I make. The Archeus Apothecary runs on solar power. I do not use ingredients or cleaning supplies that are harmful to human or environmental health.
