HOSPICE CHAPLAINS & DOULAS
One River Many Wells
we are a soul having a human experience
There are times in life when having a sacred non-judgemental space held for you is such a gift. A place held where you can explore the mysteries of life, talk about the stuff that matters. A place in which you can explore the deep workings of the soul and feel yourself gently slipping into the rhythms and seasons of nature and cosmos. Sometimes we may long for a space is deeply spiritual but doesn’t preach. A place created by someone that can meet you where you are and gently weave threads of different paths, rituals and beliefs around you, so that you may work with them to navigate life and create transformation.

MINI-COURSE: INTRODUCTION TO BESPOKE RITUAL-MAKING
RITUAL FOR HOSPICE CHAPLAINS, CARERS & DOULAS
“Ritual gives us a way of imbuing the familiar with a sense of magic, wonder and sacredness. Rituals can manifest or release, celebrate or mourn. They can help connect us to people, planets and place. Rituals are a reminder of the breath of the universe, the heartbeat of time. Ritual helps us tap into something greater than ourselves, and in doing so they can help us, help our own soul in deep and transformational ways.”

Questions we explore
- How can I make meaningful rituals for those beyond my own spiritual tradition?
- What is the importance of ritual?
- How can I feel more confident to create bespoke rituals for those I serve?
In our consciousness, ritual can provide an opportunity to tap into the divine. It is a way of symbolizing transition. Ritual can help us know ourselves better, and bring us in touch with our place within in this world and the beautiful ordinariness of everyday life.
Ritual has a special place within the care of people facing life transitions. Ritual can be a way of helping make the unsaid, said. It can help ground us, heal us and release us. Ritual can bring us together and help us part.
If we have trained in one spiritual tradition, we may find ourselves wishing for confidence to create meaningful ritual for those walking other paths.
Perhaps we are looking for ways to expand our purpose and skill as a doula.
I have worked with the dying and their allied carers and clinicians over many years now. My offerings have grown out of this work.
I am offering coaching and online resources to help hospice chaplains, clinical staff, and end of life doulas expand the ways they can offer spiritual care and compasionate communication, while also tending to their own soul-care.
Private group training sessions are also available upon request.
