Sacred Care Kit

This Sacred Care Kit has arisen out of my experiences of being with people at the end of life. Each offering here is created to support ways we can care for our loved ones, and ourselves, through this transition.

In the last stages of life and the moments after death, profound healing can arise through caring for a loved one’s spirit and soul.

Creating ceremony, washing, blessing, drawing together in love and letting go are timeless acts of human devotion. To do these things for someone does not require doctrine or religious belief, simply imagination, compassion and love.

I’ve come to learn that in the last days, hours and minutes of someone’s life we may learn more about love than we ever learned before. After a life ends, and we continue on our journey with grief, comfort can be found in recalling how we helped invite the sacred and transcendent into the room. This care of spirit and soul is a beautiful expression of love. It helps soothe the journey, support clear passage and can bring us all closer to our own sense of the divine.

Every botanical ingredient in these offerings has been chosen for its energetics, and for its place in ritual and care throughout time. Some have been grown organically and harvested in my own healing garden. All of the items in this kit can be used for natural burials, and every purchase honours our place in nature by supporting plant conservation and habitat restoration.
