The power of perimenopause as liminal space

I have to confess I loved recording this episode of The Soul Garden, because it explores the idea of perimenopause as a liminal space that invites us to draw in the potential of our post-menopausal  wisdom years.

I recorded this because I want to offer up another view of perimenopause. One that reframes symptoms as markers of transformation.

As I look back on my perimenopause transition I have come to see it as a gestation and birthing of a new way of being, and I believe that working with ceremony helped to deepen these ideas.

To be honest I was really looking forward to menopause, to a new phase of my life. I love moving into my wisdom years. I love the feeling of, “now is the time to nurture my interior world”…. I love embracing the part of me that seeks creativity, soul food, spirituality, empowerment.

And so I wanted to share my thoughts on how women in perimenopause can use this time of life as a powerful ‘reset’ and preparation for what comes after our fertility years.

I hope you find some morphic resonance (that true deep body-felt connection) in the words offered up in the podcast. If you know someone who you think may find something helpful in this podcast episode please do pass this link on to them. xxx

"Perimenopause is a time of great change. It is a casting off, and a gathering inwards. It is transformational. An initiation. It is a farewell, and it is a welcoming in of a new power. "
